Ready, Set, Knit!

August 5, 2012

I like to think that I am a master at knitting, sewing and crocheting but in reality I have never made anything bigger than baby clothes. Oh, except for that shrug I knitted a a few winters ago and I keep in my closet as a reminder that I can actually knit something adult size. I probably only know knit and purl and call all the other stitches something made up on the spot.

I am aching to finish a sweater, a skirt, a dress and I am hoping that keeping this blog will push me to actually do it.

I just recently started knitting after picking up crochet about two years ago. Although crochet goes faster for me I like the look of a knitted garment much better. I have a top-down raglan sweater that I started knitting about 4 months ago and I’m still less than half way through. I’m hoping I will finish before winter…and then I hope it’s wearable in public!!

Just pick one and get started, knowing that I’ve got one on the needles keeps me coming back to it. Good luck!!!

I learned crochet 16 years ago and knitting about 4 years ago. I am just so lazy when it comes to actually finishing something. Thank you so much for the encouragements! I’ll be posting some updates on my struggle to stay faithful.
