I am making…something

August 8, 2012

Since my last blog post I have been looking inside every single crochet and knitting books and magazines I own in search of that perfect but do-able project. No bags, no baby clothes allowed. I have been focusing on salvaging the mountain high pile of yarns I accumulated over the years. Maybe it’s not a good idea…I should just pick a project buy the yarns and follow through.

Those two designs below taken from the 2012 special crochet issue of Vogue Knitting almost made it but I am too lazy to drag my butt to downtown NY to visit some yarn shops

I have no idea what I am doing and the whole process is starting to make me feel like a wannabe. In the end I designed a very basic shirt in the hopes of challenging myself a bit. Not such a good idea because my chain was way too long and after almost 30 rows of half-double crochet the lower part is already too large. Arghhhh! Hopefully adding this coral and blue balls to it will actually make it look like something

Hopefully I still have this to keep me happy $1.50 Oysters at Atlantic Grill in Upper West Side Manhattan.

ah…so you are a big fan too 🙂 . Do you live in NYC by any chance?

No, I’m in Michigan, but I may visit NYC next month for a weekend.
Still trying to decide. Let me know if you recommend any good restaurants or something 🙂

There’s EVERYTHING here in NY! if you like Chinese food go to Chinatown (Manhattan) or Flushing (Queens). You should get tons of these places around and always go for the places you see a lot of people from the country. For example I will more likely go into a Chinese restaurant if I see a lot of Asians in it. Never been disappointed
