It’s not over yet
So it has been a week and my perfect grad student bag is looking like that. Hold on, don’t judge yet I got plans and if you doubt it wait until next week when I post my little tutorial and put all the non-believers to shame. Technically the red and blue was not planned but because I ran out of blue yarn I decided to use whatever was available. I wasn’t going for the Haitian flag look it just happened out of necessity.
Meanwhile I also finished my rug and it scares the hell out of my cat Leo. He refuses to come anywhere near it. Maybe I should use it as a cat repellent around the couch because he is destroying it. I got proof below
Any tips on how to stop this nasty habit of destroying things?
I also have a few other unfinished projects that I will be concentrating on next week. Mainly this wonderful knitted black top. Simple yet sexy. I can’t wait to wear it to go dancing. I am thinking of using leather trimmings for the sleeves and bottom and also the neckline. A trip to the Fashion District will probably help in choosing the right finish touch.
Wow!!! You made this whole rug?? How long did it take? How big is it? (size wise)
I had some spare acrylic yarns that I wanted to get rid of that’s why I decided to make it. It is a crochet piece (double crochet) and measure 46 inches. It took me about a week because I took a break but if I worked on it everyday it would probably takes like 2 or 3 days to make. Not too long.
Looks great! Especially the shirt. Can’t wait to see the final product!
I love the top! Very stylish. You are so talented, my dear! Keep it going! Next, make some fun earrings!
I actually do!..but gave away the ones I made while in Haiti and I got terrible pictures of them. but will post (and excuse the horrible pics)
Great job, I am in love with the sexy top!
